What information do we collect?

• Email Addresses and Passwords: Our extension features a login system that requires your email address and a password. We utilize 'Supabase'—a reputable third-party authentication provider—to manage these credentials securely. 'Supabase' employs advanced encryption techniques to ensure your password remains confidential, inaccessible even to us.

How do we use your information?

• Upon logging in, your credentials are verified by 'Supabase' to authenticate your identity. This process involves matching your details against a secure 'Users' database. If authenticated, a unique User ID is generated and relayed back to our extension. This ID is pivotal for associating your study sessions with your profile in our PostgreSQL database. Each time you query your study progress, a request is made to fetch your data based on this unique identifier, ensuring personalized and accurate tracking of your study metrics.
• In addition. Your email can be used in-case you forget your password. In such a scenario we'll send you an email to a provided email address which will allow you to reset your password.

Data Sharing

Your privacy is our priority. Here is how and with whom your data is shared:

• Supabase: The sole third-party service with access to your data is 'Supabase,' due to its role in user authentication. We have stringent agreements with 'Supabase' to ensure your data is handled securely and in accordance with our privacy standards.
• Also note that HTTPS is used for all data tranmission, and therefore you can trust that your data is being sent and recieved securely.
